Preparation
1. Heat sesame oil in a soup pot over medium heat. Add minced ginger, chopped onion, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt. Sauté for 2–3 minutes, allowing the dry seasonings to toast and release their aroma.
2. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in coconut aminos and mix well.
3. Add the roasted chicken pieces and simmer for 10 minutes to infuse the broth with flavor.
4. Gently drop in the wonton wrapper pieces and cook for about 5 minutes, or until soft and slightly translucent.
5. Stir in green onions and cilantro right before serving for a burst of freshness.
6. Ladle into bowls and drizzle with chili oil. Garnish with extra green onions or herbs, if desired.
